My art training was within the sculpture department of IADT under the tutelage of Finola Jones. Completing a Masters in Virtual Reality in NCAD with Kevin Atherton challenged assumptions made about sound, moving me towards regarding sound as a pan-dimensional experience (a reference to the hitchhikers guide). I have a PhD in sociology from NUIM, which examined the urban and technological soundscape of Dublin city. This research project examined the urban soundscape as a socially shaped process. This study explored how urban teenagers experienced a particular soundscape within Dublin city. The study also examined teenagers audio mediating practices.","link":"http:\/\/insight.lancaster.ac.uk?author_name=lindaokeeffe","slug":"lindaokeeffe","avatar_urls":{"24":"http:\/\/insight.lancaster.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/lindaokeefe-e1415101980471-32x32.jpeg","48":"http:\/\/insight.lancaster.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/lindaokeefe-e1415101980471-64x64.jpeg","96":"http:\/\/insight.lancaster.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/lindaokeefe-e1415101980471-96x96.jpeg"},"meta":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"http:\/\/insight.lancaster.ac.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/50","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"http:\/\/insight.lancaster.ac.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users"}]}}
