Biography

My practice utilizes drawing, painting, collage and video to articulate perceptions of my identity as an Iranian female. My research focuses on how the tensions between Iranian-Islamic and pre-Islamic traditions, the national sentiment and the Western influence are manifested visually in the artistic works.
