In Praise of Love
Richard Rushton is currently drafting a book called In Praise of Love. The book examines themes of love and marriage in some European new wave films of the 1950s and 60s, films like Godard’s Le Mépris, Antonioni’s La Notte and Fellini’s 8½.
He is also working on a short book called Deleuze and Lola Montès (Bloomsbury) which offers an introduction to the film writings of Gilles Deleuze through the example of Max Ophuls’ 1955 film, Lola Montès.
